Welcome to the City of Boroondara's online grant application program.

The City of Boroondara’s mission is to provide services, facilities, support and advocacy to enable the community to further its sense of place and connection.  Further details are available in the Council Plan 2017-21 at the following link, Boroondara Council Plan 2017-20 .

 

The City of Boroondara currently has the following Grants Programs open:

 

 Community Arts Venue Grants

The Cultural Facilities Community Access Grants Program provides access to Boroondara’s two cultural facilities, Hawthorn Arts Centre and Kew Court House, for Boroondara-based community groups, arts organisations and artists free of charge and with limited staffing. The program is open to applicants who satisfy the eligibility criteria and is assessed using a competitive grants model. The Program provides eligible applicants with access to a variety of spaces at specific times of the year.

 

The Community Project Wall

The Community Project Wall (CPW) is located within Hawthorn Arts Centre, and is the side foyer of the Town Hall Gallery. Spanning close to 30 metres, this is a free exhibition space available to local community groups, local and emerging artists and schools to exhibit a series of two-dimensional works to a wide audience. Each exhibition lasts approximately 1 month, there are 12 exhibitions per year.

Boroondara City Lions Club Legacy Eisteddfod Scholarships

Scholarships will be awarded to two individuals to further develop their musical pathways and careers. Both scholarships are available to Boroondara-based youth who meet the selection criteria.

1. Scholarship - Advancing Musically

$1,000 made available to an individual to assist with the annual cost of music/singing lessons and/ or musical equipment, as well as the following year’s Eisteddfod fees.

2. Scholarship - Emerging Musically

$1,000 made available to an individual to assist with interstate/international expenses that are directly related to travel for or participation in a musical endeavour, as well as the following year’s Eisteddfod fees.
